During this time it became apparent that the premises DLP conducted their business from was inadequate in size, hence in 2000 DLP moved sites to 54 Cobden Street, a new purpose built site that was individually designed and built by DLP.

In 2002 DLP embraced the opportunity of accepting a unique and prestigious contract which involved maintaining the sporting venues that hosted the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. This demanding, high profile contract highlights the high standard that DLP worked to. DLP felt extremely privileged to be involved in such a spectacular landmark event, one which placed Manchester, and indeed DLP on the map. DLP began to work with numerous housing associations in partnership agreements. The agreements placed a duty upon DLP to provide responsive repairs to tenanted properties and voids. As a result of DLP’s 100 per cent work on time and to budget delivery, both contracts are still on going and in existence today.
By 2005 DLP had expanded in size further, employing a work force of over 120 people, owning approximately 80 vehicles and turning over 9.5 million per annum - clearly DLP had established firm grounding as a key player in the social housing sector of Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. In 2005 DLP gained ISO 9001 accreditation for the high level of quality they offer. Also in 2005, the Directors embarked on creating a business plan and reviewing the overall strategic direction of the company, ultimately this resulted in more positive changes occurring within the company. Today DLP employ over 140 staff and have a fleet over 100 vehicles and have an extensive list of clients. DLP aim to build upon their success and achieve a turn-over of over £25 million by 2012.

The future of DLP and the achievements of the company are very much dependent on the hard work and dedication of their loyal work force which consists of highly trained and skilled individuals.
